With the publishing of his first E-Myth industry/profession specialized book, The E-Myth Contractor, in 2002, Michael E. Gerber launched a significant departure from his other E-Myth books. The E-Myth Contractor said that while Michael E. Gerber is the world’s #1 small business coach, the fact is that most owners of small and growing businesses don’t identify with being a small business owner, but rather with being a Contractor, or a Physician, or a Dentist, and so forth. The most successful way to reach those individuals is by speaking to them as they see themselves, in order to take them to a new paradigm, one in which the entrepreneur within them is awakened.
With the publication of his first in a new series of “vertical market” E-Myth books, in June, 2010, with The E-Myth Attorney, Mr. Gerber has taken this idea of specialized books to a new level, by selecting a leader in each industry and profession who have achieved unparalleled results by applying the E-Myth to their practice or business to Co-Author those books, to speak more intimately to the members of each market community, so as to truly realize Mr. Gerber’s overriding Dream, Vision, Purpose and Mission, which is to transform the state of small business and entrepreneurship worldwide.
Currently, there are eight such books in process: The E-Myth Attorney, The E-Myth Accountant, The E-Myth Optometrist, The E-Myth Chiropractor, The E-Myth Landscape Contractor, The E-Myth Financial Advisor The E-Myth Architect, The E-Myth Real Estate Brokerage, and The E-Myth Real Estate Investor. There will be 310 such Vertical Market books published when this series is done.
